Extra Insurance CDW A (Collision Damage Waiver)

Collision Damage Waiver is an optional service which, if accepted, reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The waiver carries an excess/deductible of 400 Euros. This means that the renter will be liable for the first 400 euros amount in case of an accident. The excess excludes glass (windows etc), tyres and any towing.
If the driver doesn't drive according to the highway code the insurance doesn't cover you.


Extra Insurance CDW B (Collision Damage Waiver)

Collision Damage Waiver is an optional service which, if accepted, reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle, its parts and accessories, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Insurance and Coverage

Your rental quote provides you with everything you need to put your keys in the car and go. A renter will be financially responsible for all damage or loss incurred while the vehicle is in their custody and control. For an additional charge, there will be optional vehicle protection available to cover the renters financial responsibility for damage or loss to the rental vehicle. This coverage, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional, and may be declined. You are advised to carefully consider whether to purchase this protection if you have rental vehicle collision coverage provided by your credit card or automobile insurance policy. Before deciding on this optional coverage, you may wish to determine whether your credit card or your vehicle insurance affords you coverage for damage to the rental vehicle and the amount of deductible under such coverage. Rental fees include: - Local Taxes and Vat - Third party insurance - Free Car Theft Protection - Free Unlimited Kilometers - Free Additional Driver(s) - Cars in excellent mechanical condition - Free 24 hours road assistance - Free Santorini map - Free Delivery anywhere in Santorini (airport/port/any hotel) EXCEPT IA-FINIKIA - Free Drop off anywhere in Santorini (airport/port/any hotel) - Free Child/Baby seat or Booster Seat The Excess Amount for Collision is (CDW): - 400 Euros for Fiat Panda, Chevrolet Spark, Skoda Citigo, Kia Picanto, Volkswagen Up. - 500 Euros for all other Cars -1.000 Euros for Volkswagen Beetle and Mini Cooper, Fiat Doblo, Volkswagen Caddy and Citroen Berlingo No insurance coverage shall apply to: - Damages caused to tires, windscreen, windows or the lower part of the car. - Damages or theft of personal belongings kept in the car. - Any incident inside the car during transport by ship or any other means. - Any incident while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. - Accidents caused when the driver has not been declared in the rental contract.

Geographic Restrictions

You are allowed to drive in Santorini island but you need permission from SantoriniCarHire.com to drive to another island. Reservations are valid and honored for up to three hours after the requested pick up time. However this must be during the hours of operation. If the vehicle is not picked up within three hours of the requested pick up time your reservation status will be changed to a NO SHOW. We ask that you contact us if you need to change the pick up time of your requested vehicle to avoid any problems.
